WOW..dat was a rude answer..4th year architecture student jawab soalan macam budak darjah 5 yang tak pernah bergelumang n ber'main' n bekerja bersama ngan landscape architect dalam built environment field..
emm..terasa marah..terasa diperlekeh..emm..perluke ambe berkata pulak kalo ditanya
wat is the role of architect?
'to FILL UP all the spaces in world with the skycrapper and huge building, so that people can proud, apply major sinfull practices (wastefulness and ria') PLUS give contribution for GLOBAL WARMING..the more space and comfort can u give for human being, plus more destruction for the natural environment is better'
that was my personal opinion, but when it become a formal lecture, my answer will be different or i'll prefer to keep silent~~
when i was in 1st year, i've meet my fren: designer..he asked : nape mek landscape ?bla..bla..bla..klo stakat wat landscape, saye pon ley wat..mek je pokok2 kat cad/sketchup gallery..saye pon ley jadi landscape architect'
wahai awak2 semua, plss be inform... we're not only 'fill up' the 'blank spaces' 'left' for us..we give character and identity for space, u can 'fill' all 'blank spaces' around your building by urself,..does it soften your building with the natural elements surounding? does it suit with the environment? wat type of plant u'll put on entrance? backyard? frontyard? can u think bout it deeply anough with knowledge and experience? maybe yes..but u're not an expert.dats not ur work..but OURs...
in the local planning, planner has to leave at least 10% of development for green space~~n sebeb tula wujudnye profession yang bernama LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT..we r the green agent , heal all the 'urban coercian' the government + planner made, all the concrete u build and relaxing space so that u people can feel calm and joyfull, thers a lot of landscape architect role..but u can't think any one of them..how pity u r, cnior~~'
u r a lazy searcher and reader..
dis is not the platform to fight with our own 'siblings' in the built environment..but dat's not fair to answer like 'that'..landscape architect :is proffesional ..without landscape architect, thers no harmony lake and garden, thers no tasik permaisuri,no more green spaces, no more river beautification project, no more recreational park in malaysia..~~plss think 1st before speak it loud PROUDly..
u're not a 'master' architect..but still jr architect..just like me..but plss act like a proffesional n respect others..
